We all look for our friend’s advice before we buy a big event dress – it’s just few of us can call on a Vogue editor to lend her helping hand to the cause.
Glee actress and Broadway star Idina Menzel is preparing for one of the biggest nights of the fashion industry year, the Met Gala, and has revealed Anna Wintour is her personal stylist for the night.
This year the theme for the May event is ‘White Tie & Decorations’ – a slightly more classic approach than last year’s ‘Punk’.
Speaking to E! news, Menzel shared:
“I am excited to be attending. I don’t think I can tell you about my dress because Anna Wintour is helping me so I don’t want to say the wrong thing.
“It’s such a glamorous evening. I went once before and it’s so beyond elegant and I don’t know it’s one of those things I am enjoying. Part of the success I am having is being invited to it and feeling like a princess up there and it’s just one of those nights.”
With Vogue’s editor-in-chief giving the final seal of approval, Menzel is sure to be fashion royalty on the night.
