Anna Richardson Opens Up On Relationship with Sue Perkins: “It Was An Extraordinary Connection”

Channel 4 favourite Anna Richardson has opened up about her relationship with Great British Bake Off judge and comedian Sue Perkins. The 44-year old, who fronts popular shows Secret Eaters and Supersize –vs- Superskinny, spoke about how she and Sue got together at a part in 2013, after splitting from her boyfriend of 18 years earlier that year. Although the pair had mutual friends, it was only after the split did presenter Richardson consider dating Sue. Sue is a GBBO presenter and comedian The presenter said the experience has also had a ‘profound’ effect on her: “I’ve known Sue on the circuit but about a year and a half ago we met at a party and I was recently single and we just… all I can say, there was an understanding between us and for me the planets aligned. “I just thought, this person, it’s not even about a woman, this person is absolutely extraordinary. There was an absolute understanding between us, and we’ve been together ever since. And it’s been profound for me.” Despite religious parents, the relationship got the full seal of approval from Anna’s parents, with her telling Lorraine Kelly: “My dad’s a vicar, my mum’s an RE teacher so you would think “this isn’t going to go down very well”. But actually they were really, really open to the whole thing. They can see that I’m happy!”
