Blake Fielder-Civil is fighting for his life after binging on alcohol and drugs, according to The Sun.
The former husband of the late singer Amy Winehouse was found choking in bed after a heavy drinking session and was rushed to hospital in West Yorkshire.
He suffered multi-organ failure and is currently on life support.
Blake and Amy married in 2009
The mother of Fielder-Civil’s 15-month son said she is preparing herself for the worst.
Sarah Aspin said: “The doctors say they don’t know the prognosis. They said they put him in a coma to help him and due to infection.”
Aspin called paramedics when she found Blake had choked on this own vomit and swallowed his tongue after bingeing on alcohol and drugs.
The emergency services reported the collapse of Blake’s lung.
Blake has suffered a long term addiction to heroin
“They let me in to hold his hand after 45 minutes. I found out later that they did that because they thought he was going to die,” said Aspin.
Blake has battled an addiction to heroin for years and was jailed in 2008 for assault and last year he went to prison for burglary and imitation firearm possession.
Blake married Amy Winehouse in 2007 and the couple shared their substance addiction. They divorced in 2009.
Amy was found dead at her home in Camden, north London in July 2011 and it was confirmed that she died after drinking too much alcohol.
The singer was over five times the drink-driving limit.
