Amanda Holden is under fire after a comment she made on last night’s Britain’s Got Talent final, comparing the ‘fighting spirit’ of 79-year-old dancer Paddy Jones to the courage of the soldiers that fought during the D-Day landings of World War II.
The judge has not yet spoken about her comment but she did tweet about Collabro, the winner’s of last night’s show.
Bemused viewers took to Twitter to voice their disbelief at the comparison and some of the tweets can be seen below.
Is @Amanda_Holden on drugs??! Comparing the courage of soldiers on D Day to an old lady being thrown around a stage??! #idiot #bgt

Think @Amanda_Holden comparing a dancing Gran to D-Day war heroes is an absolute disgrace. D-Day vets are REAL heroes! #BGTfinal
