Want to know what Cheryl Cole’s latest venture is? Well according to rumours today, the singer wants to give Oprah Winfrey a run for her money by presenting her own chat show in the UK next year. Yes, really.
Cheryl is reportedly on the brink of signing a new deal that will see her fronting her own talk show. We wonder what it’ll be called? Cheryl Chats? Chatty Cheryl? The possibilities are endless. We also wonder if the show will offer subtitles for those of us who find her accent a little hard to understand.
Anyway, the Girls Aloud singer is apparently being offered a very lucrative contract to host her own show next year and producers are desperate to get her on board, mainly because they feel the show will be a massive success.
Producers hope Cheryl’s show can rival the likes of Oprah Winfrey’s programme
The deal, which is rumoured to be with Sky 1, would offer Cheryl an Oprah Winfrey style programme where she could engage with fans and viewers alike and talk about issues that really matter.
“Sky 1 are desperate to get Cheryl to sign up. They’ve been in talks for a while and believe they will have wrapped up the deal within the next month,” said a member of the singer’s team yesterday.
“They think she could be the UK’s Oprah because of her reputation as the nation’s sweetheart,” the insider added.
