We all know that when you break up with someone, the smartest thing to do is to keep your mouth shut, you know, so you don’t say anything hurtful/mean/downright insane. However, it seems that Alex Reid has been making his feelings about his former fiancée known to anyone who will listen.
Last week, Alex was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and using violence to gain entry into the house he shared with his fiancée Chantelle Houghton and their 11-week old daughter, Dolly.
Unsurprisingly, it wasn’t long before Chantelle took to Twitter and officially announced that she had “no option but to end” her relationship with the cage fighter.
Over the past few weeks, it was made clear in the media that Chantelle and Alex’s relationship had been under intense pressure ever since the birth of their daughter and things escalated when the police were called to their home in the early hours of the morning and had to take Alex into custody.
Alex is claiming that Chantelle is trying to ruin his public image.
According to reports, Alex is now convinced that his arrest was all part of a master plan conducted by Chantelle in order to publically paint him as a villain. Yes, it sounds farfetched, doesn’t it?
“Everyone thinks she’s this poor little girl, but she deliberately locked me out of the house knowing the reaction it’d get. She knows what buttons to press,” Alex allegedly told a close friend.
“I’m sick of being portrayed as the bad guy,” he added.
We know that there are two sides to every story, but seriously? Things between Alex and Chantelle have been pretty strange for weeks now. We wonder who is telling the truth about what happened?
