Presenter Giuliana Rancic has been accused of making an “outrageously offensive” comment towards an 18-year-old actress during her coverage of the Oscars.
Zendaya Coleman appeared at Sunday’s award ceremony sporting a beautiful white gown and wearing her hair in dreadlocks, prompting the Fashion Police star to remark “I feel like she smells like patchouli oil and weed”.
The Disney actress took to Twitter this week to hit back at the comment, which she felt was a racist slur, and branded Rancic “ignorant”.

Rancic has since apologised, saying that her remarks were not intended to refer to Zendaya’s race.
