Judy Greer thanks Ashton Kutcher in her memoir for buying her father a Harley-Davidson – saying he unwittingly saved her parents’ marriage.
The actress revealed in her memoir about an experience when filming a pilot show for Miss Guided, which was being produced by Kutcher’s Katalyst Films.
During filming, Kutcher asked Greer what she would do if ABC decided to broadcast the show. Thinking it was just general conversation, she told Kutcher she would buy her dad a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Greer writes that months later, when the show was added to ABC’s autumn schedule she was approached by Kutcher’s assistant who handed her an envelope.
Inside were a card, a photo of a Harley and a message: “Call this number to arrange pickup.”
On delivering the motorbike to her dad, Greer replaced an old boat he kept in the garage – a subject of many fights between her parents.
Greer wrote:
“Ashton saved my parents’ marriage. He did help end a 30-plus-year argument. Maybe next, Ashton could help my dad get the taxes turned in on time.”
