Pregnant Adele Silva has spoken out about the heartache of suffering three miscarriages and her fears about motherhood.
The actress, who is best known for playing Kelly Windsor in Emmerdale, is expecting her first child with fiancé Oliver Farber but is still worried about something going wrong.
She told The Mirror: “I’m finally pregnant with the baby I thought I’d never have but I just can’t get excited. I can’t allow myself to be.”
“People will hear that and think I’m ungrateful but the truth is the opposite. I still can’t get my head around just how lucky I am to be a mum. A year ago I never dreamt I’d get this far.”

She added: “I’ve been through so much heartache, I can’t let myself believe I’m going to be a mum until I have my baby in my arms.”
After three miscarriages, Adele underwent medical testing which finally revealed that she had three conditions, including a blood-clotting disorder, that were affecting her fertility.
When she found out she was pregnant this time, she started having injections to protect the baby. She said: “I will never be able to thank the doctors enough who have helped me even to get this far.”
