When Phoebe and Mike in Friends got married they did it! And now it appears that when Chris O’Dowd and Dawn Porter got married, they almost did it!
Stop those filthy minds of yours racing right now, it’s nothing like that. We’re talking about the fact that their dog was almost involved in their wedding.
The couple, who got married last month, apparently discussed the possibility of their pet dog being their ring bearer on the big day.
During an interview with Closer magazine Chris, star of hit film Bridesmaids, was asked if there were any major blips during the wedding preparations.
He said: ‘No but there were on-going negotiations with our dog, Potato, to be the ring bearer.’

As cute as that would have been, the pair sadly decided against it. Although, now that we think about it, it does remind us of that other episode of Friends when Joey and Chandler’s pet duck swallowed Ross’ engagement ring.
Actually, it was probably a wise decision in the end!
