7 celebs who are totally obsessed with their dogs (and we kind of are too!)

We’ve got dogs on the brain.

Why you might ask? Well, hitting cinemas on August 9 is The Art of Racing in the Rain — a comedy-drama film that tells the story of Formula 1 race car driver Denny, who’s learning that, yes, we can all learn a whole lot of life lessons from our most precious doggo. Indeed we all can Denny!

The film stars Milo Ventimiglia, Amanda Seyfried (that’s her and her pooch Finn in the image above!) and Kevin Costner as the voice of the marvellous and wise Enzo (you’ll see him in the trailer below). So, yes, it’s safe to say, we’re even more dog-obsessed than usual and so, we’ve taken some time to show you just a handful of celebs with their best pals. We mean, where would they be without them?

1. Amanda Seyfried and Finn

She treats her rescue pup like an absolute god and too right! These two really are the best of pals. Finn’s very own Instagram above is well worth having a gawk at, especially if you’re willing to give up some time to swoon over him all evening. Finn is somewhat of a celeb in his own right — he has even been on the Today Show, Vogue and David Letterman alongside Amanda herself. He must be such a good boy.

2. Queen Elizabeth II’s corgis

Having received her first corgi at the age of seven, Queen Elizabeth is a major lover of the breed. One of her corgis (at the time), Susan, even accompanied her on her honeymoon all those years ago. These pampered pooches are treated like royalty — literally — and they even eat from the bowls of the palace kitchen. We can only assume they eat the finest grub there is. It’s a kind of corgi monarchy within the monarchy itself — all the doggos come from the same line of corgis.

3. Reese Witherspoon and her fur-babies

Welcome to the family, Lou! #lovemybulldog ?

After the death of her beloved German Shepard, Nash, Reese recently welcomed Lou, a Blue Frenchie, to her big fur-family. Yep, Lou will have her brother, Hank (the chocolate lab you’re most likely to see in the shade somewhere by the pool), and her other brother Pepper (the French Bulldog who has his own Instagram), as well as her loving humans to help settle her in. Just look at that purty face!

On a side note, is anyone else having flashbacks of Elle Woods’ little fur-pal Bruiser?

4. Jennifer Aniston’s pack

Jen’s dogs are her ‘babies’ and we can totally relate. After her split with Justing Theroux, there was a debate over who would have custody of which doggo. Jeniffer ended up taking her terrier named Clyde, the pit bull mix called Sophie and her shepherd mix named Dolly, who very sadly just passed away. Justin got their other pitbull, Erin. The couple agreed on a visitation agreement where Jennifer can visit Erin in New York if she’s flying out and Justin can visit the other doggies at Jennifer’s place whenever he’s in LA.

Whatever is best for the pooches, lads!

5. President Michael D. Higgins

Where he goes, they will follow.

‘They’ are the glorious Bród and Síoda, beloved Bernese Mountain dogs of our superb President Michael D. Higgins. These two have met LOTS of famous folks indeed like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Bród once even got belly rubs from the women’s Irish Hockey Team. We hear they’re adored by all in Áras an Uachtaráin and we’re not one bit surprised. Forget the famous duos of the world — there are no more adorable partners in crime than Bród and Síoda.

6. Ariana Grande and Toulouse

Lucky lad Toulouse graced the cover of Vogue last month (impressive) and we have yet another celebrity pupper who has a great chance of becoming just as famous (or maybe even more so) as their world-famous ‘hooman’. Having been on the cover of a mega mag loved by millions, he’s well on his way!

7. David Beckham, Olive and Fig

The Beckham’s have two cocker spaniels, Olive and Fig, and yes, they’re spoiled rotten. Olive, in particular, is a fan of all things Louis Vuitton as well as going for long walks in her tweed. We’ve yet to see more of Fig though, the newest addition to the Beckham family, arriving in 2018. Adorable!

Don’t forget to shower your dog(s) with love and kisses this evening (as per usual, of course) and if you’re as mad about pups as we are, get yourself to the cinema on August 9 to see one of the funniest, cutest, feel-good films ever. We’re coming for you sweet Enzo!
