Robbie has proved to us there’s still a bit of bad boy left in him as he revealed how he beat his stout record on a recent trip to Ireland.

The Take That star confessed to binging on 23 pints of Guinness during a trip to our Emerald Isle.

Robbie jetted in yesterday to play his charity gig and launch his male fashion range Farrell at Brown Thomas, leaving him no time for boozing.

But the Angels singer, 38, admitted a previous visit left him bleary-eyed after downing pint after pint, beating his self-record.

He told the Irish Daily Mirror; “My favourite tipple when I come over is Guinness. I did my personal best here once.

“I think it was 23 pints of Guinness. That’s pretty good, isn’t it? I got up really early though.”

Robbie models clothing from his Jack Farrell range.

Robbie said there’s a very prominent part of him that is Irish, he announced earlier this month that he had named his fashion line after his Kilkenny grandfather, Jack Farrell.

“I’ve always had a connection to Ireland,” he said. “I always considered myself to be very Irish and I found out exactly how Irish I was when I came over.

“My family is from Kilkenny. They moved over to England, to Stoke-on-Trent. So I’m returning home. My childhood memory of Jack Farrell was that he was the first male presence in my life.

“He was born and raised in a time when people had tailor-made clothes and always looked very smart.”

Last night, Robbie played to a sell-out crowd in Dublin’s O2 after promising to come back after a disappointing show in Croke Park six years ago.

His set list included all the classic tunes such as ‘She’s The One’ and ‘Let Me Entertain You’ as well as those from his new record.

Robbie apologised from promising that last night’s performance was going to be free, he said he didn’t think about the logistics of the event.

“I’ve got a big mouth and the logistics of doing what I said I would do proved to be rather arduous to what I can actually do. This is my attempt to fulfil that.”

However, the singer admitted he thought this show may be a disaster as well, fearing it would be cancelled if his wife Ayda went into labour.

Pregnant Ayda gave him an ultimatum earlier on in the week.

Looks like Robbie gambled with his Dublin gig… but we heard it was completely worth it.
