‘You’re only as good as your last work’ Aideen Kate chats about creating her Halloween looks

When it comes to Halloween, Aideen Kate is killing the game.

The Irish beauty influencer has built up a solid fanbase of over 120,000 people who scroll her feed searching for makeup inspiration. From Hollywood glam to recent spooky looks that Aideen knocks out of the park every Halloween, it's no wonder that she finds an element of pressure to please her fans and herself by setting the bar even higher with each new look she creates.

"It's not that I'm trying to compete with myself but it's like once you set the standard with one if the next one isn't as good or doesn't have that wow factor, it's going to flop. Cause you're comparing it to... you know what I mean? You're only as good as your last work," the Influencer explained on the latest episode of Girls With Goals.

Continuing, she chatted about the hustle we don't see behind each look before they're posted on the 'gram and the often frustration when a look doesn't meet her expectations.

"I don't even know how to explain it but it's like, yeah... It's kind of frustrating I find sometimes and you're probably the same, you know what you're capable of and it's like sometimes when you can't portray that it's like, really frustrating. I get annoyed at myself, I'm like 'oh my god I know I can do better than this like'...

From fun pop culture looks like Kris Jenner in the Thank U, Next music video to more spooky, Disney-inspired creations like Ursala from The Little Mermaid, Aideen still has plenty of ideas up her sleeve admitting that she's now going to be working on two looks a day in the lead-up to Halloween. And when she's not spending hours creating a new Halloween look, the Dublin native is attending beauty and fashion events, working on brand partnerships or traveling for work. This week, in particular, Aideen revealed that she's off to Los Angeles to attend a Halloween party with Anastasia Beverly Hills. The party in question happens annually and last year both Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian were in attendance. Us, jealous? Absolutely.
