Some of us have been applying make-up since our earlier teens, and the majority of us haven't changed a thing about our beauty routine since we began all those moons ago.
Make-up trends constantly change and evolve. Styles and colours come and go, products update and application techniques change. Here are some of the likely things you’re doing wrong that is making you look older…
Layering foundation

Many of us layer on foundation like it on like it’s going out of fashion. This more-is-better technique brings attention to our lines and creases. Excess product exaggerates lines and wrinkles, as it lies caked.
Choosing a lightweight liquid foundation over a powder base is better for smooth and flawless looking skin.
Caking on the concealer

This problem occurs when you start to conceal everything else except the blemishes, (We all try to hide the dark bags under the eyes if we are honest). The consistency of a concealer is too heavy and rich for the delicate thin skin under the eyes.
Camouflage makeup is perfect for those dreaded circles.
Step away from the tweezers

Over tweezing can make brows disappear entirely, and those strands may never grow back. Eyebrows shape the entire face, and if you find yourself lacking in the brow department using a sharo brow pencil can rectify this.
Remember to match pencil to natural hair colour and apply with short, feather-like strokes.
Leave the metallic lids to the Kids...

Stop with the shiny eye shadow now, ladies. Just like foundation, shimmer eye shadow can set in to the crevices around the eye. A little bit of shimmer never hurt anyone. Just try not to go all 80’s on it.
Don't fear lip-liner

Lip-liner is a section of the make-up routine that some of us avoid, simply because we are too afraid to try it. Applying a line to the lip adds volume and a plumped look. A neutral colour always works best helping to create the illusion of bigger lips.
