‘We tried the new Chloé L’Eau de Parfum Intense – here’s what you need to know’

Sophie Collins

At the recent launch event for Chloé L’Eau de Parfum Intense, we had the pleasure of immersing ourselves in the latest fragrance from Chloé – and we loved it immediately.

This fragrance, which is actually a reinvention of the classic Chloé scent, captures the essence of the Maison.

Founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, Chloé has always been dedicated to women, blending strength and grace in every design and product.

The new L’Eau de Parfum Intense is a fitting tribute to this legacy, embodying the Maison’s in both scent and spirit.

Chloé was a trailblazing brand from its inception, always looking to reject the formality of haute couture in favour of creating luxury ready-to-wear options with a relaxed, liberating style.

Aghion’s vision was to make high fashion more accessible to encourage women to express themselves freely.

This ethos of freedom has become the soul of Chloé, and it remains as vibrant as ever in this newest fragrance.

Chloé L’Eau de Parfum Intense takes the Maison’s signature rose scent and reinterprets it with a deep, rich intensity.

The father-son perfumer duo behind this creation, Michel and Romain Almairac, wanted to deepen the Chloé rose while adding modern, woody elements that highlight the fragrance’s strength and longevity.

Michel Almairac, who also created the original Chloé Eau de Parfum, explains that the rose was always the perfect flower to capture Chloé’s refined femininity.

“For Chloé L’Eau de Parfum Intense, we wanted to explore the rose’s most assertive facets and incorporate an overabundance of sophisticated woods to enhance its character,” he said.

This fragrance would make the most beautiful wedding day scent for this reason alone. It’s so unique, yet comforting and fresh.

The fluted bottle now bears a sleek black and ecru label, embodying a modern sophistication, and a deep garnet ribbon symbolises the fragrance’s bold, floral heart.

For the first time, Chloé has introduced a 150 ml refill in recycled alluminum, designed to be compatible with any bottle in the collection—a thoughtful nod to sustainable luxury.

This new fragrance, available in 30 ml, 50 ml, and 100 ml bottles, will be accessible at major retailers, including Boots, BTA, and selected pharmacies.
