Yesterday we posted the inspirational and motivational video of Lizzie Velasquez, the American woman who is suffering from a rare condition, and how she has dedicated her life to consistently redefine what it means to beautiful. The video highlighted the increasing pressures on young women to look a certain way, and how we need to learn not let the outer shell define who we are as individuals.
This video, shot back in 2007, is a production from beauty giants, Dove. The short film highlights the importance of education in young girls.
The clip touches on their campaign for mothers to promote good self-esteem within their young daughters by chatting to them about the beauty industry, images in the media, and pressures that girls sadly have to face.
With just 2.5 million views in six years, this video is something that every young female should see.
The final message concludes: “Chat to your daughter before the beauty industry does.”
