We all know Una Healy from her time in The Saturdays. As part of the group, Una dominated the charts for over seven years before the band took a hiatus in 2014. Since then, the Irish songstress has carved out a successful career in her own right as a DJ, TV presenter and solo artist. She’s now adding an internationally renowned beauty brand to her CV as she’s just been announced as the new face of IsaDora.
Created back in the eighties, IsaDora is an increasingly popular brand for Irish consumers with its timeless colours and commitment to being fragrance-free, cruelty-free and clinically tested. Una is partnering with the brand for three seasonal campaigns and we caught up with her ahead of the launch to talk about what we can expect.
“I’m actually so honoured to be partnered with such a fantastic brand it’s everything about it,” Una explained, “It’s the quality and also the fact that it’s cruelty-free and always has been since it was formed in the early eighties. I love makeup and I always have so that made it an easy choice to partner with IsaDora.”
With a brand that has been around for decades, it’s important that they appeal to the younger generations, we asked Una what she thought of the paired-back beauty trends sweeping social media, and what her day-to-day beauty actually looks like?
“There are probably five or six products that I always absolutely have to wear, but at the same time, you don’t look like you’re wearing a lot of makeup and it all starts with a good primer, Isa Dora have the glowing primer which has SPF in it as well so it ticks the boxes for me. For every day the skin beauty foundation blends right into your skin tone.”
Una admitted, like many of us, that she was an avid over plucker of brows back in the nineties, “You have to get the brows right, I over plucked in the nineties and IsaDora have a stunning sculpt and brow pen that shapes up the brows nicely, staying with the eyes and I also adore their light-up concealer that gives a dewy look around the eyes so that it doesn’t look like it’s caked.”
Touching on the cruelty-free element to the brand, Una told us how crucial it is for people to know where their products come from, “We’re more aware of it now and it was unknown to people that they were using products that were cruel and tested on animals, people weren’t aware of it. I just love how Isa Dora has always considered that aspect right from the start.”

Una’s favourites from the IsaDora collection will feature on a capsule range and will be available in selected Shaws, McCauleys, McCabes, Lloyds and independent pharmacies nationwide from 31st May.
