Tried & Tested – VICHY NORMADERM Skincare Range

We're putting the latest innovations from VICHY to the test…

It’s week two, and I haven’t fallen off the skincare wagon yet – hurrah!

The good folks at VICHY set me a challenge, to use their Normaderm range of products for one month, and report back on the effects the line had on my blemish-prone skin over the month. After two weeks, I’m already starting to see the change. More on that in a bit, but first a recap on the routine….

The Products

I’m trialing the full NORMADERM range. That might sound like a lot of effort, but in reality it’s as simple as a standard cleanse, tone and moisturise morning and night, a targeted spot treatment to use on blemishes whenever necessary, and an exfoliator and mask, each to be used once or twice a week. Simple! The five minutes it takes is nothing, and I sleep sounder knowing my skin is being looked after in my slumber!

Morning:

Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel

Normaderm Purifying Pore-Tightening Lotion

Normaderm Global Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care

Night:

As above, but replacing Normaderm Global Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care with Normaderm Night Chrono Active Anti-Imperfection Night Cream

Once/Twice weekly:

Normaderm Unclogging Exfoliating Gel

Normaderm 3-in-1 Mask

As needed:

Normaderm Hyaluspot

Over the month I’m looking at one or two products in more detail, this week it’s the Normaderm Purifying Pore-Tightening Lotion and the Normaderm Night Chrono Active Anti-Imperfection Night Cream

Normaderm Purifying Pore-Tightening Lotion

A toner is the part of a skincare routine that many people skip, but if you have blemish-prone skin it’s important to include one, as this product acts to tighten pores while balancing the skin’s pH and eliminating excess oil. I used this morning and night after cleansing my skin, applied with a clean cotton pad and avoiding the delicate skin around my eye. The visible effect on pores was immediate, with pores noticeably smaller and skin feeling pleasantly matt and shine-free. I also find that some toners have left a stinging feeling on my skin after use, not this time though!

Night Chrono Active Anti-Imperfection Night Cream

After my cleanse and tone at night I swapped my daytime Normaderm Global Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care for the Normaderm Night Chrono Active Anti-Imperfection Night Cream. Concentrating on my forehead, cheeks and chin, I applied the cream each night. This product limits the skin’s oil production during the night to unclog pores. This product targets dead cells and dissolves them, leaving skin more even and brighter in the morning, meaning your skin gets off to a better start every morning, and I’ve certainly noticed the difference it makes overnight. Unlike many night creams, the formula is non-greasy and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. In fact, it has an almost powdery finish, so there’s an added bonus of no greasy stains on the pillow to worry about!

Week two: The verdict so far…

Two weeks in, and I’m fully ‘in the stride’ of adhering to my routine every morning and night. It’s easy to find the time (which really is only a couple of minutes) when you’re seeing visible results, and I am. I’m seeing less imperfections in my skin already, and the fresh and clean scents combined with light formulas never feels like I’m drowning my skin, a problem I’ve had with many other ranges. I’ve found that I’m actively looking forward to the night I’ve planned to use my mask or scrub, and there’s no doubting that my skin looks brighter than it has in ages. Happy days!

Have a look back at week one of my trial here.
