Treatment Review: Oxygen Lift Facial at Therapie Clinic

Recently, Her.ie was invited to come along to Therapie Clinic and try out the new Oxygen Lift Facial.

We’ll admit to knowing very little about Therapie’s beauty treatment offerings, other than their well-deserved reputation for laser hair removal, so we were naturally very curious.

So, on a rainy Wednesday evening we headed for their Molesworth St. clinic to try out the facial, from Image Skincare, which promised luminous, younger-looking skin – immediately. Quite the tall order!

The clinic was absolutely buzzing, with at least eight women in the waiting area getting ready to head in and enjoy some pampering. The wait was a short one, though, as friendly therapists showed clients one by one to individual treatment rooms. Once the door closed on a treatment room, the hustle and bustle of the busy Dublin streets was instantly a world away, and the relaxation began.

First, skin is cleansed thoroughly, before an enzymatic peel is applied to the skin. There is a pleasant citric smell, and you can expect a tingling sensation on the skin, all the more noticeable in areas where your skin may need treatment most. The peel is followed by an oxegenating mask and stem cell enhancer, designed to penetrate deep into the skin. The mask creates a pleasant ‘bubbling’ sensation on the skin, and while it worked its magic a mini massage melted stress away from the body as well as the face.

They say: The treatment dissolves a layer of dead skin cells in a non-invasive and painless manner, there’s zero down time, and high doses of stem cells, vitamin C and botanicals penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. The result is luminous, super hydrated, rejuvenated, super-glowing skin.  Skin is utterly detoxified, revitalized and re-energized.

Her thoughts: I was very impressed. There is certainly an immediate difference in the skin’s appearance, and the facial left my complexion looking instantly brighter, fresher and with a lovely ‘dewy’ quality. Unlike so many other facials, you don’t look as though you’ve been through the wars, and there’s no need to hide away for a couple of days after. The perfect facial if you need a pick me up before a big event, with minimum fuss and maximum results.
