Audrey remains one of our favourite style icons.

If we had a penny for every time we heard Audrey Hepburn cited as a style icon, we would be very rich indeed.

Twenty two years after her death, Audrey’s timeless beauty is still celebrated as she possessed the kind of innate elegance you just can’t buy.

However, even she relied on a couple of beauty products and actually had a specific hair conditioner invented for her.

If you’re a beauty obsessive, you’ll probably have heard of hair expert Philip Kingsley who has gained a cult following thanks to his celebrity clientele.

US Glamour recently uncovered a very interesting nugget of information when speaking to his daughter Annabel.

“Audrey came to see Philip in 1974. She was doing a lot of filming, and her hair was in terrible condition because of all the styling and coloring they were doing on set.

“So she went to see him and requested a moisturizing treatment that wasn’t going to weigh her hair down, as she had quite fine hair. They were using all these heavy creams post-shampoo and her hair was just flat”.

Philip then devised Philip Kingsley Elasticizer specifically for Audrey and because she loved it so much, he brought it out as a permanent product, which was later followed by a complete range.
