When it comes to beauty trends, brows get a lot of attention with everyone striving for the perfect shape.
With hashtags like #browsonfleek trending on Instagram, it seems there’s one look in particular that’s standing out.
The ‘tapered brow’ is bold, dark and thick but instead of the standard curve, the brow thins out slightly at the end.
Now there’s eyebrow goals
Even though it’s not what you’d call a new look, Allure says this is currently the top trending eyebrow shape.
Celebrity brow specialist Joey Healy spoke to the beauty publication and explained why the ‘tapered brow’ is getting so much love.
“Putting more emphasis on the outer half of the brow with the tail coming to a point accentuates the arch and adds visual length to the shape”.
“Having a crisp clean finish to the brow allows a full, bushy brow to still have structure and architecture. The biggest misconception with the bold brow look is that the shape needs to look unfinished and untouched” said Joey.
Hibba Kapil, owner of NYC based salon Hibba Beauty, said that this brow works well for women who want full brows but who also want to keep definition.
“It’s been in high demand because full brows may not work for everyone”.
“If you’re going to see a professional, tell them to leave it full and slightly tapered in the end, and that you’re thinking more Kim Kardashian instead of Cara Delevingne” said Hibba.
