Holy moly, the internet today is just a melting pot of dumb things.
Straight in at number one those has to be these distressed sneakers from Barneys.
Barneys, as Rachel Greene fans well know is supposed to be a reputable establishment full of fancy shiny things that we forever covet and rarely afford.
But these “Distressed Superstar Sneakers” look like something I pulled from under my bed.
Costing a crazy $605 (appox €541), it’s no wonder Barneys are receiving backlash on social media.
And if these don’t take your fancy, fret not, you can pick up ones that are even further distressed and patched up with duck-tape.
The sneakers are available in a tonne of different colours and prices vary slightly from $242 to $605.
Twitter users are as perplexed as we are.
$590 for this crap too. #wtf #ridiculous #crazy #sneakers #insane #fashion #Barneys #whatisgoingon https://t.co/R7efxvu1Lb

Seriously, who would pay $585 for a pair of garbage sneakers that come with duct tape already attached?! https://t.co/wt15pk68ta

If they do sell out and you still fancy a pair, come back to me. I’ve a pair of red cons from circa 2002 in mint distressed condition. Happy to negotiate.
