Say hi to the corset braid.
Although plaits and braids are far from new, the corset braid takes things up a level by weaving colourful material and ribbon throughout the hair, to give a ‘corset’ effect.
Hair trends change all the time and this one stands apart because it’s all about the handiwork, rather than drastically changing your hair colour.
During the Lesley Hampton show at Vancouver Fashion Week recently, models walked the runway sporting corset braids.
That’s not all either as the trend has been getting a lot of love on Instagram as you can see from the below posts.
The cool thing about this look is that you can go big and bold with colourful thick ribbon or keep it simple with thin strips of material in neutral shades.
It’s easy to modify the braid too by either plaiting all the hair or choosing to keep the corset braid to small sections of hair.
