You can thank me later.
Let’s face it – we’re all makeup hoarders.
My makeup bag is bursting with products I never use.
So recently, I decided to do a clean out, and give my makeup bag a shot at minimalism.
You really only need five key products at any given time
e.l.f BB Cream
I never leave home without this glorious creation.
I’m not really a foundation person, I find it too heavy and cakey on my skin. That’s why I always go for a BB cream or a tinted moisturiser – specifically, this one from e.l.f.
It’s so easy to apply, and gives me all the coverage I need. It also has an SPF 20, which is a handy way to protect my skin from those pesky UV rays.
Oh, and did I mention this baby is less than a tenner?
Benefit ka BROW!
When I was 13, I decided I needed ‘real’ makeup… and so my mum bought me some Benefit products.
I’ve never looked back.
Their products are all amazing, but they do eyebrows like no other.
I’m a major fan of big, full brows, which is why I always have ka-BROW! in my makeup bag. This all-in-one eyebrow cream-gel easily fills, sculpts and defines brows.
Perfection.
NOTE Vitamin E Bronzing Powder.
I’m way more into bronzer than I am into blusher. And this is the bronzer I absolutely swear by.
Another wonderfully inexpensive makeup brand, Note is a brand I discovered a couple of years ago.
I use this bronzer all over my face, and even sometimes as an eyeshadow.
It reminds me of the Estee Lauder sun disk… only at a fraction of the price.
L’Oreal Paris Double Extension Mascara
Truthfully, I don’t believe that the most expensive products are the best.
When it comes to mascara, I always have this L’Oreal baby in my makeup bag.
This double-ended invention is a conditioning and extending mascara, that can make your lashes look up to 60 percent fuller.
Dr. Paw Paw Multipurpose Balm
There is nothing this stuff can’t do.
I put it on any sort of blemish I may have, lash it on my lips, and I even use it as a highlighter.
It’s just one of those things that your makeup bag needs to have.
Also, you can get cute tinted or sparkly versions of Dr. Paw Paw.
