The five manicure trends that everyone’s talking about right now

It's all about the nails for 2017.

You’re going to want to try these out.

We always feel just a little bit better when our nails are looking good. Whether it’s a simple French manicure or something bolder like the mermaid nails we saw creeping into our social feeds this summer, there is something to be said for a nice fresh polish

So, with that in mind, we decided to take a look at some of the nail trends that we predict are going to be huge next year.

Grey tones

If you haven’t heard, grey is absolutely huge this season. This low-key colour palette never goes out of style and will carry you right through to Spring 2017. We love this geometric take on the design. It’s so simple but so fab.

Gray Tones

Ombre nails

Ombre hair, ombre clothes and now finally we have ombre nails. The trend looks set to continue into the new year and we can definitely see why. We find using a soft sponge is one of the easiest ways to achieve this look. Metallic ombre nails are also perfect for the party season or something sparkly like these lovely glitter ones.

Candy Cane
Nothing screams Christmas like a candy cane stripe. This festive season we are all about these gorgeous two-toned nails. This look was created using Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Birthday Suit for the base before applying diagonal lines using Dig Fig. It’s the perfect modern festive look.

Cuticle art

Yes, you read that correctly. Cuticle art is now a thing (who knew?). Well, apparently the people at Rodarte did because the look was all over their NY Fashion Week show. To get this look spot on, use a clear base varnish and a fine smaller brush to paint around your cuticles. We love this black and gold combo.

French it up

Who said a French mani has to be boring? We love this different take on the look. Grey tones are the perfect way to add a tomboy spin to one of our favourite designs. This Sally Hansen look is so much more striking and up to date than a classic French mani. We think this is a great one for your office Christmas party.
