Time and time again we’re warned by our hairdressers to be conscious of our haircare – from the shampoo, conditioners, treatments and sprays we use.
When we think of anything containing sulfates, we hear alarm bells because they’re known to strip away too much moisture and leave the hair dry and possibly damage it.
However, most high-quality sulfate-free options comes with a hefty price tag and are rarely sold outside of the hairdressers or dedicated online retailers.
While there are lots of budget-friendly brands advertising a sulfate-free formula to add to your haircare routine, they often still leave hair feeling dehydrated.
Enter the well-known brand OGX, which is sold in from Dunnes Stores, Tesco and pharmacies Nationwide.
This affordable and high-quality brand have ranges to suit quite literally EVERY hair type, texture and goal.
Their team of scientists “constantly evolve formulas to bring a spa-quality experience coupled with salon-quality safety and ingredient standards.”
We tried out the newest combination in the range, ‘Argan Oil of Morocco Lightweight,’ which promises ‘weightless hydration’.
After a couple of weeks, we can confirm; it does exactly that.
The OGX Weightless Hydration + Argan Oil of Morocco Lightweight collection offers “a salon quality, pH balanced blend to help gently cleanse and help revitalise your hair, resulting in soft, shiny, and manageable hair that retains its natural bounce.”
Aside from our opinion – giving this range a solid 9/10 – the reviews from customers across the globe speak for themselves.
One user gave the product five stars and wrote: “Smells gorgeous… made my hair lovely and soft and my hair was smelling lovely afterwards.”
Another happy customer reviewed the range and said: “Took this on holiday, due to the amount of swimming I was doing almost every day, I didn’t want to keep shampooing and conditioning my hair, so I condition only in between and found this left my hair soft and manageable.
“I would recommend, I have medium length hair. Does what it says on the bottle.”
A third person added: “Anything I’ve tried from this range has been amazing. I recommend it to everyone.”
