I love summer — the long days, the bright evening, early summer Fridays, beach trips and family barbecues — this is my favourite season of all.
But sometimes, my hair does not seem to love summer – and the humidity – at much as I do, and can rather quickly turn into a big ball of frizz and fluff – a far cry from the silky smooth beach waves I dream about.
However, luckily – there are products there to help. Clever shampoos, masks and sprays that will provide instant hydration and shine, protect hair from heat and salt water and chlorine and literally save your summer strands in an instant.
What to add to cart before you head off on your holiday this summer? Take a look:
Alfaparf Milano’s new Semi Di Lino Resort Collection of products were created specifically to care for holiday hair, and features three must-have products to protect hair against the harmful effects of UVA and UVB rays, salt and chlorine, which can lead to hair becoming dry, frazzled, discoloured and frizzy.
Each box contains a full-size shampoo, mask and an Alfaparf Milano Solarium Illuminating Protective Oil to protect and nourish hair against sun exposure.

R+Co is renowned for its wide-ranging, treatment-orientated line of hair products. Using natural ingredients (and no parabens, sulphates, mineral oil or petrolatum) this exquisite range is 100 percent vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free and colour-safe.
For summer, I am obsessed with this R+Co’s Dreamhouse Cold Pressed Watermelon Wave Spray. This multi-tasking mist moisturises, protects hair from the elements, helps enhance colour, and accentuates natural waves.
Using high-performing, lightweight oils, minerals and extracts to activate waves, this spray strengthens strands and brightens highlights while providing UV protection and major shine.
The new Klorane Nourishing and Repairing 3-IN-1 Mask with Organic Cupuaçu butter is ideal for very dry or damaged hair. Enriched with organic Cupuaçu butter, this mask has been proven to be 1.5x more nourishing and 1.4x more repairing than Shea Butter thanks to its unique composition of rich fatty acids, including Omega-6 and 9.
We also love that it can be used in three different ways: an in-shower treatment, overnight mask or for the driest hair, as a leave-in cream.
