Let’s face it, we’ve all woken up at least once in our lifetimes to see what can only be described as a wild bush on the top of our heads.

And we’ve also seen the dire consequences of trying to then style this wild bush. In the interest of hair we are bringing you a few top tips to combat the dreaded bad hair day.

1.       Use a product

There are so many hair care products that you can use to tackle a bad hair day. For greasy or unwashed hair, dry shampoo works a treat. You can also get a range of serums for dry, frizzy and coloured hair. The only issue with this is that using too many products or too much of one product can cause a bad hair day so use sparingly.

2.       Try it again

If you have the time to re-attempt your chosen hairstyle, go for it. Keep in mind that it is important that you do a few test runs for a particular hairdo before the occasion when you want to wear it. Everyone, even Victoria Beckham, has bad hair days. Well we like to think so anyway! So try the style again or go for something different.

3.       Put hair up

Speaking of going for something different, you can always put your hair up. This is the quickest and most effective method of fixing a bad hair day. Putting your hair up in a simple ponytail will hide almost any hair problem. If you fancy going for something a little more sophisticated opt for a bun.

4.       Wear a hat

What’s that saying; if you can’t beat it… hide it? Well that’s the one we’re using anyway. If you can’t tackle the bad hair problem then you can certainly cover it. All you need is a fashionable hat and you’re good to go. And you never know, your hat might get you more compliments than your hairstyle ever would have.

5.       Laugh it off

The most important thing to remember is that a bad hair day is not the end of the world and nobody, but you, is really going to pay any attention to it. So laugh it off. It will make you feel a whole lot better and show that you’re not afraid to draw attention to the fact that your hair just didn’t work out on this particular day.

6.       Book an appointment

Bad hair days can occur for any number of reasons but sometimes it can signify a need for a trip to the hairdressers. Perhaps you need your fringe tidied up, length trimmed or split ends removed. Then again it could be a simple case of you needing a change of shampoo or a day off from washing your hair.

So the next time that wild bush decides to engulf your head, use our top tips and get going to wherever it is you need to be. Vamos chicas!
