Perms are back, in a big way.
Not only can you now perm your eyebrows, but… well that was sort of it on the perm themed looks for a while there.
Lucky for all intense curls lovers out there though, one woman is bringing the perm back into public consciousness… and it’s not like anything you’ve ever seen before.

Valentina Petrenko is a senator that represents the Republic of Khakassia.
She’s 62-years-old and she has the greatest hairdo known to man.

Apparently, Petrenko is somewhat of a celebrity over in Russia and, understandably, it’s all to do with her intense perm and less to do with her Federation Council Committee social policies.
Despite all the fame and fortune that naturally comes with donning such a look, Petrenko has said that she’s actually a bit sick of having to talk about her hair all the time.
We wouldn’t be.
She told Newsweek:
“I’m so tired of answering these questions. I just have curly hair. I lift it upwards with some hairpins, that is all.”
Now, in fairness Petrenko, a good few of us have curly hair too and if we lifted it up with hairpins our hair would not look like that.
Teach us your secrets, please.
