We’ve all heard that skin and hair can show signs of aging as we grow older but now it seems our nails (yes, you heard correctly) are at risk of this too.
BB creams for skin have become increasingly popular in recent years due in part to their age-defying properties.
However, American brand ORLY has upped their game and introduced the first BB cream for nails which will be on sale in August, priced at £15 (€18.80).
BB stands for blemish base and these creams help your skin look younger, smoother and brighter. The ingredients in this new ORLY nail product, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C, claim to prime, brighten and smooth nails.
Skin products targeting wrinkles, crow’s feet and fine lines are extremely common and there are multiple ways of protecting your hair from showing signs of aging but we do really have to worry about our nails too?!
Shreya Patel, an expert at vanityvan.co.uk says that just like skin and hair, our nails can also show signs of aging.
“Just as the body ages, nails do too. Changes are apparent in the skin, nails (fingers and toes) and hair. Just think of why doctors always examine your nails, or when you go into surgery. They give away a lot”.
