Changing your hairstyle can have a dramatic effect and if numerous series of America’s Next Top Model have taught us anything, it’s that cutting a persons hair can sometimes cause mini-breakdowns and ugly crying face in even the most level headed individuals. At the end of the day, it’s just hair and it DOES grow back so why are so many of us scared to take a leap of faith and revamp our style with a short choppy style?
Ok so it’s probably easier to take the plunge when you’re a super model and have killer cheekbones, a flawless complexion and a celebrity hair dresser at your disposal but according to super Karlie Kloss, getting the chop is actually quite liberating.

Speaking to Fashionista backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Show last night where she debuted her new do, Karlie revealed that the reason behind her new hair cut is an upcoming Vogue cover shoot (all hail the terrifying image of Anna Wintour channelling Tyra Banks) but says she’s loving the freedom of her new style “[The cut] was for a Vogue exclusive story that I did, and we wanted to do something new, something sort of drastic. And I love it!” she told me. “I think it’s fun to sort of shake things up. I feel like a woman is very affected by her hair, and my hair was so damaged and broken that it needed something.”
Hairdressers are always trying to get clients to take things up a notch but we don’t know if we’d be so eager or willing!
