Lucy Hale is blonde now and we’re convinced it suits her more than her natural shade

Lots of folks associate blonde locks with summer and choose to go darker for the colder months - but not Lucy Hale. The Pretty Little Liars actress has swapped her trademark brunette locks for a washed out blonde colour and we're mad about it. Taking to her Instagram stories yesterday, Lucy revealed that her new look was by no means easy to achieve The transformation took over 10 hours - and she documented the whole process for her followers. The first round of colouring left Lucy's hair copper-coloured. This is standard when going from dark to light and something to bear in mind if you're considering highlights yourself. Most of us mere mortals don't have the time or money to be sitting in a salon for the whole day, so remember that you'll probably have brassy looking hair for a few days or even weeks before you achieve the shade you want. Lucy did the whole thing in one sitting though and ended up with an edgy, ombré look that will make her grow-out far more natural and easy to manage - the perfect thing for any brunette to show her colourist when trying to go lighter. We reckon the finished colour suits her as much if not more than her own dark brown hair.
