Lipstick Matters – Why The New Kate Moss Rimmel Collection Is Our Number One Budget Beauty Buy

Want to get supermodel style and tap into one of winter's biggerst beauty trends?

The idea of matte lipstick didn’t appeal to us at first because in reality, dry, shine-free lips aren’t appealing or attractive in any shape or form and chapped, flaky lipstick is never a good look.

So when we first heard of the Kate Moss Matte Lipstick Collection we were a little bit dubious as to how well it would fare. Her first line of lipsticks were nice if unremarkable and any lip colour under a tenner which stays put for a few hours is a winner in our books.

But, due to our enduring love for Mossy and the fact that we’re constantly willing to shell-out our hard earned cash on shiny new beauty products, we thought we’d give the new collection a go. And at under eight quid a pop, it was worth the gamble and then some!

The colour is rich and vibrant but in a lovely muted way and although it’s billed as a matte lipstick it’s surprisingly moisturising, even in winter when your pout gets an awful battering.

Our fave is colour 107 – it’s a deep berry shade with a blue undertone that looks gorge against paler Irish complexions and it won’t drain all the colour out of your face like some bold lip colours can. Plus, it’s a super sexy alternative to classic red so perfect for glamming up a simple outfit by day or giving a party look a luxe-goth feel by night.

Other colours on our hit list include 101 – a powdery baby pink which perfectly encapsulates that retro 60s vibe and 110 – an electric coral red that will look amazing against darker skin tones and as this range sell’s out super fast we recommend you get your hands on them as soon as you spot them!

The Kate Moss for Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick Collection is available in chemists nationwide and is priced at €6.95
