The brow revolution is coming.
I’ve been waiting a long time for this and it seems that finally, natural brows are making a return.
Instead of the drawn-on, filled-in, brow that has been termed the Instagram brow (I’m sure you can figure out why), softer brows are where it’s at for 2017.
If you’re a ‘strong brow’ queen and need some convincing, look no further than Kim K’s makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic.
Instead of the Instagram brow, which is elongated and painted on using numerous brow products, brows are paring back for next season.
In conversation with Cosmopolitan recently, Mario explained his top tips for this particular look.
“Don’t draw boxy lines; it’s time for something new — your brows can still be strong, but you want them be soft, not harsh-looking”.
Another interesting nugget gleaned from Mario was that how you apply your chosen products can have a major impact on the end result.
The amount of products you use, and how much “pressure” you use to apply them determines the end result.
“It’s all about layering on the products and the amount of pressure you use to apply them, which determines how light or dark your brows come out”.
So, less is more, it would seem…
