Is Hollywood Hiding Behind a Fringe? Her.ie Investigates!

So many starlets are getting the chop and supporting fringes this summer. We love ours but maybe we are hiding behind our curtains of hair!

My fringe is my cool best friend that goes with everything. I have supported a the style for about three years now and as the trend is frequenting Hollywood at the moment I am priding myself on bringing back the bold cut before it was even in vogue! Star-studded ladies like Jessica Biel, Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry have all gotten the chop and it seems that this summer is definitely all about the fringe. New Girl Star Zooey Deschanel says her fringe has its own personality and is a part of her identity. While I wouldn’t exactly go that far, I love the glam that comes with a styled bold fringe and was especially enthralled with the perfection of Jessie J’s sleek and shiny style earlier this year.

A bold fringe works best on those with a naturally high hairline but it’s also important to consider your hair type. A poker straight fringe looks silly with a mass of extremely curly hair and if you naturally have a frizz, a fringe will be almost impossible to maintain and will destroy your soul. Getting a fringe is a daily responsibility and you have to be willing to get up ten minutes earlier in the morning to make sure you have a good hair day and don’t leave the house a hot mess.

This sudden influx of stars adorning the fringe is making us suspicious, though. Are they masking a third eye or a horrific breakout with that immaculate curtain of hair? Or are they concealing something much worse… the dreaded wrinkles? Has the Hollywood Botox river run dry? Whatever the reason, a cute, bold fringe will go with everything this summer and will look fantastic if you have a little time to give to maintaining the style. It’s the best accessory to adorn this summer but only if you’re brave enough to get the chop and live life on the ‘fringe’!
