Does your skin always break out after flying?
Travelling is something we always look forward to, whether it’s a quick trip to London for the weekend or a week in the sunshine.
Being able to see more of the world is a luxury we’ll never tire of but travelling does have its downfalls.
One of our least favourite things about flying is the negative impact it has on our skin. We’ll always break out after travelling, whether it’s a long-haul flight or even just two hours across to Europe.
Luckily, skincare experts have revealed the best way to look after your skin after flying.
Air travel can wreak havoc on your complexion, leaving it dehydrated, irritated, and stressed before your holiday even begins.
Ava Matthews, co-founder of UltraViolette.co.uk said keeping your skin hydrated is key.
She said: “I fly regularly for work, and so I am a pro here. After a long-haul flight, keeping your skin hydrated is key. A hydrating mask during the flight and a refreshing face mist can help prevent that tight, dry feeling.
“Once you land, reapplying SPF is essential, especially one with added skincare benefits such as added antioxidants, amino acids, and hydrators to restore and protect your skin barrier.”
Another tip we’ll be following in the future is putting extra effort into our skincare routine after flying.
“Once you’ve landed, it’s important to reset your skin. Ava Matthews recommends using skincare to freshen up your face.
“In addition to using an SPF with added benefits, a tinted SPF is a great option to provide a natural and even-looking coverage so that you can look and feel fresh without having to apply any makeup. I like layering it over suncream for an instant lift.”
