The Her.ie team have been known to chat about bra sizes, embarrassing crushes and everything in between.
Tried and tested beauty products often come up in conversation, which can be very helpful when you want to find out about a certain item before purchasing.
There are SO many shades of lippy to choose from: classy nudes, screen siren red, hot pink and vampish purple.
We really are spoilt for choice but here are Team Her’s pick of the bunch.
I’m not a big lipstick wearer but when I do decide to wear some, it tends to be quite basic colours. The texture of L’Oreal Colour Riche Made for Me (€12.29) is quite creamy so it doesn’t feel like it’s drying out my skin. It can make for an easy work-to-dinner look when paired with some eye liner and mascara. This lipstick colour actually lasts longer than some of the more expensive ones I’ve bought over the years too.
My absolute favourite lipstick is Kiko Unlimited Stylo (€6.90). It last for about eight hours, and they mean that, it lasts for eight hours, and you get it in some really nice reds. Big, big fan. Please come to Ireland, Kiko.
I love this lipstick. A semi-matte stick, the colour is rich and velvety looking. Long-wearing and lasts such a long time during the night, you don’t feel paranoid about reapplying. NARS Scarlett Empress (€25) is a must to give you a modern-day woman feel.
I’m a little bit scared of lipstick as I think I look like a clown most of the time but when I do brave it, MAC is my go to. The very popular Russian Red is perfect to channel an old style glamorous Hollywood look while Candy Yum Yum is a girly bubblegum pink. Both are priced at €19 and if I’m honest, I’m obsessed with the different names.
For me, it has to be Bourjois Paris Rose Coquette from the Rouge Edition Lipstick (€10.99) collection. It stays on for hours and it’s not too in your face which suits me down to the ground. Simple but so good!
I’m a bit of a lipstick fiend but this is my most recent favourite, Dior Rouge Dior Haute Couleur Voluptuous Care in Zinnia Red (€34.50) . The packaging is beautiful, the colour is perfect for work or play and it lasts for ages without bleeding or smudging. It’s now a firm staple in my make-up bag.
Rimmel Moisture Lipstick is great value and a wonder product for keeping lips soft and moisturised. At this shade, you can afford to buy a couple of shades too. My current fav is Latino and it’s perfect for a night out.
