Makeup artist to the stars Katie Jane Hughes is launching it at the end of the month and we are READY to shine to high heavens
Highlighter, that radiant secret weapon in every makeup lover’s arsenal, is there to elevate your glow game. And celeb makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes is the queen of glow – both on herself on Instagram and on her clients.
So it’s no shock that she’s launching her Hyper Shine Lite Pigment at the end of the month, accompanied by a mixing medium called Hyper Shine Serum. The serum was uniquely designed for the Hyper Shine Lite Pigment but can also be mixed with your blush, eye, and lip products to create the perfect dewy look.
We stan a multi-use product. Follow KJH Brand on Instagram to get all the launch date info, and in the mean time, here’s a little refresher course on highlight.
Highlighter how-to
Whether you’re a seasoned makeup pro or a newbie, understanding how to use highlighter effectively can make a world of difference in achieving a luminous complexion. Highlighter is a makeup product designed to add a luminous and dewy finish to your skin. It comes in various forms, including powder, liquid, and cream, each offering a unique texture and finish.
Where to put it?
Cheekbones: Apply highlighter to the high points of your cheekbones to accentuate them and create a lifted effect.
Brow bone: Enhance your brows by dabbing a touch of highlighter on the brow bone.
Cupid’s bow: Add a touch of glow to your upper lip’s Cupid’s bow for a pouty effect.
Bridge of the nose: A subtle swipe along the bridge of your nose can create a slimming effect.
Inner corners of eyes: Brighten your eyes by applying highlighter to the inner corners.
How to use it
Opt for a shade that complements your skin tone. Champagne, rose gold, and pearl tones are pretty universally flattering. Use a brush, sponge, or your fingertips to apply highlighter sparingly – it’s easier to add than to take away, so start with a small amount and build it up for your desired intensity.
Blend the product into your skin seamlessly to avoid harsh lines or patches. For a long-lasting glow, set your highlighter with a setting spray or a touch of translucent powder.
