‘Hair Sewing’ Was One Of The Biggest Beauty Looks From Paris Fashion Week

It's so pretty!

Fashion month is drawing to a close with some of the industry’s most successful brands showing their SS16 collections in Paris this week.

In addition to crushing on next season’s style trends, we’re also excited about what’s big for beauty

Stylist Guido Palau was responsible for the hair at Alexander McQueen and he used a technique called “hair sewing”.

It sounds a little complicated and could take a bit of practice to get the messy undone spirals that models sported at the show.

According to Look Magazine, Palau used an “invisible thread” to weave in and out of the hair resulting in a texturised natural finish.

Although it made an appearance at Paris Fashion Week, “hair sewing” isn’t a new idea and hairstylists have been known to use a needle and thread to perfect certain styles.

Hairstylist KEVIN.MURPHY worked backstage at many a fashion show before using this knowledge to launch his own hair range, which of course includes a sewing kit.
