This TG4 TV series is looking for sustainable fashion designers

Calling all fashion designers!

An award-winning Galway-based production company is looking for designers with a passion for sustainability to take part in their new project.

Fibín Media will air the new TV programme on TG4, which will see six hopefuls take part in challenges to test their skills.

The series winner will earn the title of the first ‘Síorstíl’ and will take home other prizes that will help them develop their fashion brand.

The programme aims to inspire viewers to rethink their consumption of fast fashion and make the most of the clothes they already own.

Filming will take place in April 2024 so if you have no plans for the new year and a passion for design this could be your first step into the industry.

It's not TG4's first venture into the world of all things fashion and sustainability as they have just returned with the second series of Éadaí SOS.

Hosts Proinsias Ó Coinn and Caoimhe Ní Chathail shine a spotlight on devotees of fast fashion with a wardrobe brimming with impulse buys, often rarely worn.

The show enlists a team of experts to support the contributors including fashion psychologist Dr Dion Terrelonge, seamstress Bronagh Crothers and stylist Moya Doogan to guide the participants through their journey to more conscious consumerism.
