Everything we thought we knew about applying false lashes was wrong

This way is surprisingly a LOT more comfortable.

When it comes to false lash application, we surrendered long ago.

After years of pain and suffering we had come to the conclusion that there was NO right way to do it.

And so every Friday night, armed with tweezers and glue, we waged war against our faces and knew that there was a real chance things might not work out.

Until now.

Because apparently, we’ve been doing it all wrong.

Instead of applying our lashes over our lashline (and endlessly struggling to achieve a somewhat natural looking line), it is more effective and more comfortable to apply the lashes UNDER the lashline.

According to makeup artist Vincent Oquendo, he was given the tip by hairstylist Sunnie Brook when they were prepping model Bodhi for a shoot.

Spotted in Cosmopolitan, he first curled the model’s lashes, then applied glue to the top of the lashes as normal, then using a pair of tweezers and inserting them under the lashline.

According to Bodhi, it’s the most comfortable way she’s ever worn lashes.

They also look so much more natural.

We are sold.
