Body Beautiful – Three New Beauty Buys to Try This Week

Three of our favourite new beauty treats.

Rebecca McKnight

It’s a serious perk of the job here at towers that we get to try and test some of the latest and greatest beauty releases and call it work. Lucky us. Here is a heads up on three products that got a communal thumbs up from the team in the week that was…

Heat Styling Range, from €4.69, Silvikrin

If you opt to go against what nature gave you by curling your straight hair or straightening your curly hair, you need heat protection for your crowning glory. That special care becomes a little easier via a new, happily affordable, release from Silvikrin.

The new Heat Styling Range boasts ThermoFlex technology to protect against all heated styling tools up to 230°.

The technology works in two stages, with the added benefit of providing hair with volume and hold:

Stage 1: Creates a protective layer to deflect and decrease the heat on the hair surface so the temperature is lower and more gradual

Stage 2: Provides a smoothing effect to protect the cuticle, preventing heat from getting inside the hair and ensuring the heated tool glides over the hair, making styling simpler and reducing damage

The two products in the range are the Style & Heat Protect Spray (€4.69 RRP) and Heat Style & Hold Hairspray (RRP €4.99)

Florence Anne, from €7.50, Boots

Named after the wife of Boots founder, Jesse Boot, the Florence Anne range is the latest collection to hit shelves in the chain. Inspired by Florence Anne’s own love of botanical fragrances, the collection boasts a trio of uniquely blended scents.

The range includes scented candles, body butters, hand and body washes, fragrances and diffusers.

The three fragrance combinations are Patchouli and Clove, Grapefruit and Lime and our favourite, Blackcurrant and Fig.

Butt Naked Palette, €29.99, NYX

We do have a lot of love for a good palette at Towers. And this is a good palette.

NYX have made quite the splash on these shores this year with a series of budget beauty releases. Now, they’re turning their hand to gifting and we’re sure readers would be very happy to find the Butt Naked kit under the tree. The palette boasts fifteen neutral matte and shimmery eye shadows, four rosy blushers, two cheek illuminators and one defining bronzer.

Working out at less than €2 per product, you can colour us impressed.
