KEVIN MURPHY ANGEL WASH & RINSE, €22
If you're of the fine-haired ladies amongst us, we've found a true gem. Aussie brand KEVIN MURPHY comes to the rescue with a line that finally recognises the need for weightless products that really work on delicate hair. Whether yours is fine, fragile, broken or suffering from the side-effects of bleaching and straightening, this may be the shampoo for you. KEVIN MURPHY products use pure essential oils, plant extracts and natural antioxidants, and everything in the range is sulphate and paraben free. ANGEL WASH gently cleanses while maximizing colour retention, while ANGEL RINSE acts as a moisturising conditioner for fine, dry hair, containing mango butter, cocoa butter and chamomile to gently repair damaged hair without adding heavy waxes or oils. ANGEL WASH and ANGEL RINSE have RRPs of €22, and are currently available from Hession Hairdressing Clontarf & Drumcondra, Preen Hair & Beauty on Dame Street and Ciaran Nevin Hair & Beauty, Terenure.
Adare Cosmetics Clearogen Anti-Blemish Set, €74.99
In our teen years we foolishly believed that once we hit our twenties that worries about spots would be a thing of the past. Sadly, this was absolutely not the case. If you're one of the many unfortuante souls who struggle with problem skin, you may want to check out Clearogen. This 3-step anti-blemish system from Adare Cosmetics Clinic is designed to fight problem skin, with an active ingredient of Salicylic acid 1%. The set comprises of a Foaming Cleanser, Clarifying Toner and Blemish Lotion. We tried out this line for two weeks following a nasty breakout and found it effective almost immediately in clearing up spots. A word to the wise though; once a day is enough to use the products. As with many blemish treatments, these products are quite drying on the skin.
The boxset of all three products is available at Adare Cosmetics Clinic, Dublin and Adare, for €74.99. Contact 01 6769810 or 061395410 to place an order.
