Because She’s Worth It… Gráinne and Sherry

All this month we’ve paired up with L’Oréal Paris to give away some fantastic prizes! 

We’re asking Her.ie readers to nominate a special lady in their life to win some fantastic L’Oréal Paris goodies.

This week, Gráinne Biddle from Kilmainham nominated her mum Sherry, here’s what she had to say… 

Hi guys, 

I'd love to nominate my mum for the L'Oreal Paris goodies hamper please. 

She is the most supportive and loving mum and person I could ever ask for. No matter what issue I have or situation I've gotten myself into she never judges or turns her back on me, she just helps me see the bigger picture and pick myself back up. 

Since my Dad got sick with cancer two years ago she's had to change her business to work from home and she's given up a lot of the luxuries she used to enjoy. He takes quite a bit of looking after and she cooks him every meal and does a lot of driving in and out of the hospital. Men are difficult patients at the best of times so she's really had to be the positive force in the family. She had a scare recently driving back from the hospital when the car gave out so I know she needs some R&R and some nice treats to recharge!

I love how she appreciates any little thing people do for her, and she looks after my Dad so well I know he literally could not go on without her. 

She is without doubt my best friend and I don't get home often enough to show her what she means to me. She never asks for anything but I know she would love something like this! Her absolute favourite way to treat herself is by getting a treatment for her hair and as she's been getting older she's been worried that her hair isn't in as good a quality as it used to be, so I know this would pick her up. 

I think she'd be really overwhelmed if she won this after being nominated and I would love to treat her.
