Against Animal Testing? Here’s Our Favourite Animal Friendly Brands

If you are a vegan, vegetarian or are just concious about animal testing we have the perfect product guide for you.

Her

If you are creature lover shopping for make-up that hasn’t been tested on animals can be a bit of a minefield. Reading little labels on the back of lip-glosses to try and decipher whether or not they are they are vegetarian or vegan is a nightmare and frankly we don’t have the patience. We know that it means a lot to you girls to support the fight against animal cruelty and so we’ve found some pretty products that you can flaunt without the guilt.

Empress Gourmet Natural Cosmetics

This Co. Clare based company offers loads of skin creams, cleansers and lip balms some of which are suitable for vegans. Vegan products are clearly marked and this company does not test their products on animals. We love the colourful packaging that makes us want to order the whole lot right now! We love their Sweet Orange Body and Hand Mousse (€22/120mls), which is completely suitable for vegans. We also love their Lavender Cleanser (€15/50mls), which uses a combination of oils to remove make-up and dirt from your skin.

Revlon

Revlon is on PETA’s list of companies that don’t test on animals and we’re delighted because it is one of our favourite affordable brands! We love their Lip Butters at the moment (€9.60), which come in twenty different shades and add vibrancy to your look

Barry M

We love Barry M’s nail polishes and as all of their products are not tested on animals it is a win in our book. The range is stocked in Boots and is really affordable and colourful. We love their vibrant blushes and deep bronzers this summer.

Lush Cosmetics

We are totally addicted to Lush Cosmetics and the soapy aroma always lures us into their Grafton Street branch. This is a vegan’s heaven as Lush prides itself on their extensive range of vegetarian and vegan products. They are dedicated to eradicating animal testing so you can gorge their shelves without guilt. We are finding it hard to choose our favourite product but we love their shampoo bars, which are almost all suitable for vegans. Don’t blame us if you can’t resist buying everything in the shop!

Clinique

Clinique is another brand that has taken a stand against animal cruelty. Their products aren’t vegan but you can be sure that animal ingredients were obtained ethically and that’s always a comfort.
