This week, the RDS Dublin Horse Show will make its triumphant return for the 148th year running.
Running from August 9th until August 13th, visitors can expect five days packed full of exciting equestrian events, an abundance of tasty dining options, live entertainment and fun for the entire family.
Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian pro, or you’ve never been to the RDS Dublin Horse Show before, this event is easily one of the highlights of the Dublin social calendar, and if you’re wondering what’s in store, we’ve got you covered.

Equestrian events
There will be 168 equestrian classes and competitions on the cards, including showing classes, performance classes, national and international showjumping. Truly, this is the crème de la crème of equestrian events.
Dining options
With 50 food stalls, nine on-site restaurants and cafés and 17 bars, guests will have so many great food options to choose from at the RDS Dublin Horse Show. Sample a vegan meal from Cali Cali, tuck into some family favourites at Eddie Rockets or opt for some plush dining at the Champagne and Seafood bar. One major foodie highlight of the RDS Dublin Horse Show will see Michelin starred chef JP McMahon serve up a feast from his pop-up restaurant on the Band Lawn.
Entertainment
The RDS Dublin Horse Show is not just about equestrianism. Check out live entertainment and family fun throughout the event. And, if you fancy getting dolled up, don’t miss the Best Dressed Competition, which is open to men and women and takes place on Thursday 10th – a prize worth €10,000 is up for grabs.
