It's not quite time for Belfast Fashion Week but already the doors are being opened for competitors for the third Diet Coke Design Award.  Three lucky finalists will be chosen to have their designs made up by designer Una Rodden and the finished looks will be featured in a shoot by photographer Khara Pringle.  The winner of the competition will be also be offered a mini-scholarship to the London College of Fashion.

The brief is simple - design a unique, stylish look which perfectly encapsulates the 'love it light' ethos of Diet Coke.  The competiton is open to all comers regardless of training (or lack thereof).  This year, three finalists will be highlighted instead of one - so now your chances of getting your talent noticed have been increased threefold.  We like those odds.

Cathy Martin, Director of Belfast Fashion week, says that “For anyone worried about their own design credentials, it’s important to remember that our first ever winner was a banker who loved tweaking dresses in her spare time. She worked with Una Rodden to create a catwalk-worthy, stunning dress and really enjoyed her time at London College of Fashion doing a course in Structured Lingerie.

The brief and application form can be downloaded from belfastfashionweek.com
