Rosanna Davison will appear on the cover of the German edition of Playboy next month after performing well during a saucy photo shoot.

The Irish model and former Miss World wowed editors at Playboy and they upgraded her to the front of the magazine.

According to The Irish Daily Mirror, a source said. “These are absolutely amazing pictures. It’s definitely the sexiest shoot she’s very taken part in by far.

“They’re not fully nude but she does bare a lot – it’s slightly more of a lifestyle shoot with her posing on the beach.

“They look really natural and she wasn’t afraid to strip off in front of the camera – something a lot of girls would have problems with.

“They were all taken in Mauritius at the start of the year and as soon as Playboy saw them they knew she had to be on the cover.

“It’s a huge deal for her – millions of people will see her just in Germany. Then they’re going to be on the internet where millions more will see them.

“While Rosanna would be well known in Germany particularly through her dad [Chris de Burgh] who is extremely famous there, this will give her career a boost.

“And if the issue does well, there’s every chance that Playboy America will decide to print them as well. That would be huge if it happens.”

The model has received a six-figure payment for the raunchy shoot and Rosanna admitted that she wants to strip off now so that when she’s old she can look back and remember her beauty.

“When I am old and wrinkly I will have shots like these to look back on. It will be as tasteful as possible.

“I want it to be classy – I’m a big believer in taking opportunities in life and pushing boundaries,” she said.

The model is currently training for the Ironman triathlon in September in which she must swim 1.9 km in Galway Bay, cycle 90km, and finish up with a run in Salthill.

The competition is raising funds for Irish Autism Action.

The model has recently turned from a vegetarian to a vegan and she said her new diet is helping her prepare for the Ironman competition.

“I start the day with a glass of warm water and lemon, then I make a smoothie with spinach, celery, banana, apple, lemon and pear.

“I know this may sound disgusting to most people but I’ve learned to love it and it gives you far more energy than you get from a cup of coffee,” she said.
