And The Most Romantic Song Ever Recorded Is…

Did your special song make the list?

Rebecca McKnight

It gets butchered at least once in ever karaoke session ever, but we’re still not sick of hearing this one it seems…

Whitney Houston’s record-breaking ballad ‘I will always love you’ has been hailed as the most romantic song ever recorded. The track, which was released by Whitney for the movie Bodyguard in 1992 after originally being recorded by Dolly Parton in 1974, became the biggest selling female vocal record ever, and is still an anthem for lovers of love everywhere.

The song beat other cheesy classics like Unchained melody by the Righteous Brothers, (Everything I Do), I Do It For You by Bryan Adams, and Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight to claim top spot in a recent poll.

The study of 2,000 adults found that only one song from the last 15 years was worthy of a spot in the top ten, evidently we’re big fans of the classics, so if you want to romance someone and you need a special soundtrack – here are your safest bets…
