Leona Lewis is known for playing it reasonably safe when it comes to her look but this weekend she showed off her new do and it’s far from boring.

The 28-year-old singer posted a picture, on Instagram earlier today, which shows off her new red locks in a top knot.

She captioned it: “Touch down in Italy! One more flight to go then straight back into rehearsals. Oh and I have red hair”.

It marks a stark contrast to the Bleeding Love star's usual hairstyle which is honey blonde and curly.

Leona's has gone from honey blonde to red.
